Make Adobe Reader remember the page number from where you left off

Adobe Reader - Remember Last Left off Page Number

I was reading 'The Discovery of India' by Jawaharlal Nehru this morning when it stuck to me.. is there a way to make Adobe Reader remember where I last left off?! I searched over the internet and it saved a hell lot of my time. Here is what it said..

If you work with a lot of PDFs, especially e-books or other lengthy documents, you probably find it annoying that the files always open at page 1, not the last page you were viewing.

Thankfully, there's a simple way to make Adobe Reader 8 remember your page (as well as your selected zoom and pan settings):

Click Edit, Preferences.
Choose Documents.
Check the box marked, Restore last view settings when reopening documents.

I had been searching for this thing for years. I've read probably a hundred books, saving the page number of my last page in notepad. Thanks for this lifesaver idea, I can start reading my books where I left off!
